Good Afternoon Educators and Community Members,
The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) will be hosting a Financial Aid Workshop entitled "College Goal Sunday" on Saturday, February 21st from 9AM – PM on the Keiser University - Fort Lauderdale Campus. This event will allow students to complete their Federal & State Financial Aid Applications (FAFSA / OSFA) the same day and learn more about other financial aid resources offered to students (Bright Futures, Pell Grants, etc). If you know of any students that need assistance in completing these forms, please refer them to this event that is hosted by the Florida Department of Education. All students regardless of age are welcome to attend the event to complete their financial aid documents. Students are not required to RSVP for this event.
Please have students bring the following items to complete the FAFSA:
1) Your Parents (their information is required on the financial aid application)
2) Your Parents' Tax Returns / W-2s (2014 Tax Year for Seniors)
3) The name of the colleges you wish to apply
4) Any and All Financial Aid Questions!
For any further questions, please feel free to contact me via e-mail or office phone. The FLDOE provided a flyer (attached) to distribute to students at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Joseph Yancey, M.A.
