Dear Ms. Orris,
Effective Fall semester 2015, Stillman College will reduce
the cost of tuition, room and board from $22,500 to $17,500
for Full-Time students and no out-of-state tuition.
The exact cost will be dependent on the residence hall in
which the student stay.

Additionally, I will need unoffical transcript to include SAT
or ACT Scores on all who applied.

Thanks again,

Broward College Dual Enrollment Program / SUMMER TERM

If you are a 10th or 11th grader who will have a 3.0 unweighted GPA and 11 credits by the end of this school year, and would like to take Dual Enrollment courses at Broward College this summer, you must follow the steps below:

  • Go to the Broward College website - www.broward.edu.
  • Fill out a Broward College online application.  Access the Guide to Apply Online.
  • Bring a printed copy of the Broward College application confirmation page to your guidance counselor to begin the dual enrollment registration process.  This confirmation page will have your new Broward College Student ID number.
  • If you do not have an SAT, ACT, or PERT score that makes you "College Ready", take the PERT at Broward College.  Your guidance counselor will give you a form to take to the testing office at Broward College once you bring in your BC student number.
  • Bring your PERT scores to your counselor.
  • If your PERT scores are Reading-106, Writing-103, and math-114 or higher, your counselor will give you a dual enrollment recommendation form.
RETURNING DUAL ENROLLMENT STUDENTS:

  • Obtain a rough draft copy and original copy of the dual enrollment form from your counselor.  List courses for which you want approval to take on the rough draft and obtain signatures on the original form.  Sit with counselor by Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 to finalize course requests.
NOTE:  Textbooks are NOT loaned for the summer session.  Textbooks are the student's responsibility.

Hello BRACE Advisor,

I hope you are off to a wonderful New Year!

As you may know, this week is a BIG day for the incoming freshmen at the University of Florida…they will begin to be notified whether they've been accepted or not!

My name is Julie Van Pelt and I currently serve as the Vice President of Academics with the Broward County Gator Club®, an affiliate of the University of Florida Alumni Association. As you may be aware, each year, the Broward County Gator Club® awards scholarships to outstanding Broward County students accepted to and attending their first year at the University of Florida.

Attached please find the Club's Scholarship Application for 2015, which will also be available for download from our website by end of the week at www.browardcountygatorclub.com/scholarships.

The students applying must be a graduating Broward County High School Senior, accepted, and soon to be attending the University of Florida the upcoming year for consideration. The deadline to submit application is Friday, April 10, 2015 (must be postmarked by April 10, 2015 to be considered). This year, we plan to award 15 scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each. We will determine and notify the winners by April 27th and award them thereafter at their Senior Awards Night and Broward County Gator Club®'s Gators Do Great Things Event held on the evening of Wednesday, May 13, 2015. I will also email you by April 27th if any of your students is a recipient. Details regarding the awards and our events can be found on our website, so please check our website regularly for any updates.

If you have any questions or require any additional information regarding the scholarship application process, please do not hesitate to call me at 954-240-8074 or email me at bcgcacademics@gmail.com. You can also visit www.browardcountygatorclub.com for more information about our upcoming events, resources, volunteer opportunities, networking information, and much more.

I look forward to hearing from you and Go Gators!

**Please forward this email to the proper person if you are no longer handling this position and notify me so I may update our contact list. Thank you!
