Broward College Dual Enrollment Program / SUMMER TERM

If you are a 10th or 11th grader who will have a 3.0 unweighted GPA and 11 credits by the end of this school year, and would like to take Dual Enrollment courses at Broward College this summer, you must follow the steps below:

  • Go to the Broward College website - www.broward.edu.
  • Fill out a Broward College online application.  Access the Guide to Apply Online.
  • Bring a printed copy of the Broward College application confirmation page to your guidance counselor to begin the dual enrollment registration process.  This confirmation page will have your new Broward College Student ID number.
  • If you do not have an SAT, ACT, or PERT score that makes you "College Ready", take the PERT at Broward College.  Your guidance counselor will give you a form to take to the testing office at Broward College once you bring in your BC student number.
  • Bring your PERT scores to your counselor.
  • If your PERT scores are Reading-106, Writing-103, and math-114 or higher, your counselor will give you a dual enrollment recommendation form.
RETURNING DUAL ENROLLMENT STUDENTS:

  • Obtain a rough draft copy and original copy of the dual enrollment form from your counselor.  List courses for which you want approval to take on the rough draft and obtain signatures on the original form.  Sit with counselor by Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 to finalize course requests.
NOTE:  Textbooks are NOT loaned for the summer session.  Textbooks are the student's responsibility.
